Quality Assurance

Quality Mark

Having external accreditation or recognition is very useful to any organisation and having that external scrutiny from widely recognized organisations will boost the image of your organisation. This is novel in Nigeria; but it has been going on in other developed countries for a long time. The most simple to use and achieve is the PQASSO Quality Awarded by the Charity Evaluation Service (CES) in the United Kingdom. We have commenced discussion with the organisation in the United Kingdom to work with them in order to start the process in Nigeria. If you want to know more about the Charity Evaluation Service please visit: www.ces-vol.org.uk

The PQASSO Quality Mark is the externally assessed award for PQASSO users which demonstrates achievement of the PQASSO quality standard. This nationally recognised award in the UK offers both users and funders/commissioners external verification of the quality and credibility of an organisation. The Charity Commission in the United Kingdom has endorsed the PQASSO Quality Mark at Level 2 and Level 3 of PQASSO 3rd edition. The endorsement means that organisations achieving the PQASSO Quality Mark will receive the Charity Commission’s badge of approval confirming that they meet the Hallmarks of an Effective Charity. Although we do not have the Charity Commission as yet in Nigeria; but we need a body dedicated to the needs of the Charity Sector in Nigeria. This would be part of the groundwork for such an organisation in Nigeria.
